Bakersfield Futsal is a recreational soccer league created to meet the growing needs of the Bakersfield soccer Community. Futsal is a Five-a-Side soccer game played on basketball sized courts, both indoors and out without the use of sidewalls.
Studies have shown that by eliminating the play of the ball off of the sidewalls player touches on the ball increase by 210%. Developing ball control is a huge benefit of Futsal and will create the better, more creative and skilled player that will stand out in any 'outdoor' soccer game. For decades Futsal has been the teacher of the great players from Brazil and other South American countries.
Futsal is the only indoor soccer that is recognized by FIFA, the world's governing body for soccer. Bakersfield Futsal is a member of the USFF, United States Futsal Federation, affiliated with FIFA. Bakersfield Futsal is open to everyone with the desire to play. No experience required.
